Came across this work of art today, a public toilet made entirely of one-way mirrors installed at a construction site in Britain. Photos are below. It was originally unveiled as an artistic response to the reluctance of people at art exhibits to leave the room for fear of missing a key entrance or comment. The “solution” certainly seems to raise other issues though:
Metaphors abound here. My first thought on seeing it, after “Yikes!” was isn’t that what life is like all the time? You sit alone in a room full of your own crap scared to death that everyone can see right in, while the whole time no one can see through the walls.
