The Drive-in Theater

I just drove past the site where one used to be here in Cincinnati, up until a couple of years ago. Now it’s a maze of stacked steel girders aspiring to be some sort of industrial complex. We tried to get to that drive in a while back to see Collateral and Spider Man 2 (back when we only had one baby), but the evening we finally got mobilized they had gone and switched the double feature on us. I saw my first movie at a drive in when I was 4 – Raiders of the Lost Ark. And by saw, I mean I got to the part with the snakes in the plane, ate a Snickers bar and fell asleep in the back of the station wagon.
